What We Do

Independent Speech, provides both comprehensive speech-language evaluations and on-going speech-language therapy.

Our evaluations are completed using a variety of assessment measures.  We utilize both formal (standardized) and informal tools to obtain the best overall view of an individual’s current communication skills.

Speech-language therapy is designed to address the goals and objectives that have been established through the evaluation process (whether completed with us or through another agency).  All of our sessions are held in real time video and audio over our secure internet site.  Before each therapy session, the speech pathologist will choose activities from our activity center and then tailor those activities to best meet the needs of their client.  All our activities are interactive allowing the client to participate fully each activity.  We provide services for a variety of communication disorders as well as for accent reduction therapy and ESL services.
